37 week lightning update

37 weeks and 2 days. 12 days until scheduled c-section. Amniotic fluid levels are at 13 cm. 32 pounds above my PPW (pre-pregnancy weight), which means I am going to stay within my 25-35 lb. recommended weight gain by the skin of my teeth.

Car seat is installed.
Hospital bag is packed.
Baby showers are done.
Nursery is baby ready.
Baby clothing and bedding is washed.
Pediatrician is selected.
Birth plan is dutifully ignored.
Mom is healthy and well-rested.
Aidan is excited.
Dad is, I think, a mixture of excited and terrified.

Left to do:
Hang curtains and mobile
Write 58 thank you cards
Write a blog post about my two Salt Lake baby showers
Finish work tasks: one workshop, one webinar, two planning sessions, one journal club, one search committee, and a handful of meetings.
Sneak in a pedicure.
CLEAN MY HOUSE

Only two weekends to go until Ziggy's arrival and I feel surprisingly ready. I'm nervous about going through a c-section again but anticipate it will be easier without the 24 hours of trying to induce ahead of time. With the amount of time that Ziggy has been spending in my ribs lately, I'm also just starting to get to the point where I could be done with pregnancy.

Here are a few pictures from the week. Blog post about my (Fabulous! Wonderful!) two Salt Lake baby showers forthcoming.

Cute, cute, cute
Will I really love another like this?
