Christmas is over and New Years is fast approaching, but before I move onto my reflective end of the year post, I need to share some of the great December photos that I've accumulated. It was an awesome snowy month in Utah filled with sledding and Blaster Tag and visits from family. Harper has become an easy roller as she flips from front to back with the greatest of ease. Robert turned 33, and I started work again after an amazing three month maternity leave. I didn't get pictures of everything -- in large part because my phone has no camera -- but here are some things I managed to capture.
The snow this year has been epic so far. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to snowboard for obvious reasons, but I love waking up every morning to our Winter Wonderland.

My parents came out to celebrate an early Christmas with our family. Their trip was only 48 hours (which is NOT the perfect length, dad), but it was still wonderful. And luckily they were treated to lots and lots of snow since last December
they got skunked.

Robert turned 33 this month and we had a small dinner party with our family and his law partners. I baked him a German chocolate cake, but when I moved the cake plate GENTLY from one area to another, the plate and the cake inexplicably broke in half. Robert didn't care. First of all, because he is a good sport like that, and second, because he felt vindicated for the great birthday cake fiasco of 2006 when he inadvertently destroyed Aidan's Super Mario Bros cake. Our family should always have a cake and a backup cake on hand.

Best year yet. :) |
In December, Harper mastered the roll over. She rolled for the first time at nine weeks and now she flips over the second you put her on her tummy. In lieu of a video, here is a photo series showing her rolling from front to back.
