Harper, nine months

Nine month Harper is a faster, funnier, scarier version of eight month Harper. She crawls at lightning speed to find the most dangerous thing in the room to put in her mouth. She pulls herself up to standing whenever possible and crawls up stairs. She's only nursing 3 times a day now and still doesn't have any teeth. She loves to pull hair and dangly earrings and her grasp is like a vice. She is finally starting to drop her third nap, which makes me a little sad because that makes her bedtime earlier. Most nights she is asleep before 7:00.

Harper has enough hair now to put in little barrettes and she is better at listening to stories when I read to her. She can walk if you hold her hands and she can clap on command. One way to get her to laugh is to blow bubbles and have Stan try to pop them. I had a scary moment this month when I was cleaning Aidan's room and Harper tried to swallow a marble that fell out of his dresser. My heart nearly stopped, and I didn't let her on the ground again for like an hour.

I love my little nine month baby, and I am getting so excited for the next stage of walking and talking.
